As part of this year’s London Climate Action Week, Energy Quest Foundation is proud to announce its participation in a high-level international webinar titled “Accelerating the Shift – Scaling Low-Carbon Transport Systems in Indonesia & Ghana”, scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 09:30 GMT.
The transport sector is one of the fastest-growing contributors to global greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for nearly a quarter of energy-related CO₂ output. In rapidly developing economies like Ghana and Indonesia, rising urbanization, increased vehicle ownership, and infrastructure gaps present serious challenges to climate goals.
This timely webinar will explore:
- Opportunities to transform national transport systems
- Key barriers to scaling sustainable mobility, including financing constraints, technological gaps, and policy fragmentation
- The catalytic role of climate finance and carbon markets in enabling e-mobility transitions
Meet the Speakers
Energy Quest Foundation will be represented by Lesley Arthur, alongside distinguished speakers and partners in sustainable mobility:
- Pablo Fernandez, CEO, EcoSecurities
- Edmund Bentil, Co-Founder, Smart Transit
- Nikita Pandey, Moderator & Carbon Pulse
- Wiwin Dewi, Volta, ESB and MCASH Group
- John Tidmarsh, VAI Capital
Together, these thought leaders will share on-the-ground experiences and practical insights from projects in the Global South, with a special focus on how Ghana can scale up its e-mobility infrastructure to meet its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
Why It Matters
For Ghana, achieving a low-carbon future means tackling urban transport, embracing electric mobility, and creating inclusive, scalable solutions for both cities and rural areas. This event reflects Energy Quest Foundation’s ongoing mission to support energy access, climate innovation, and green technology across West Africa.
